Follow These Steps to Get the Darkest Stain
During the first 30-40 minutes after the gel application, it is considered a "danger zone" as the gel is still soft and can easily smudge. It's crucial to refrain from touching the gel during this time. As the gel starts to lose moisture, it takes on a flexible, plastic-like texture, which makes it less prone to smudging. The gel should be left on for a maximum of two hours, as leaving it on for longer will not improve the stain.
When it's time to remove the gel, thoroughly wash it off with lukewarm water and soap. It's important to wash every bit of gel off the skin using a paper towel or napkin, as the gel will stain a bare hand or washcloth. Gently blot the skin dry, as the design may initially appear nearly invisible or a very light gray, which is perfectly normal.
Avoid taking a bath or shower for at least 8 hours after removing the gel. If you need to wash your hands, use gentle soap and cool water. Applying oil or vegetable butter to your design before and after bathing or showering can help it last longer.
It's important to allow 12-24 hours for the color to fully develop, and the final color will be a deep blue.
